Valhalla VintageVerb
Valhalla vintageverb by ValhallaDSP is one of my best plugin from the company. As by this plugin you can give old school hip hop reverb room to your sound. When you look at the plugin you will find that there are three color of reverb to give to your song. Actually you can choose the era under color which will make your sound funky/brighter/clean and colourless.We will talk more about this topic below under overview of the plugin.
Overview of valhallaVintageVerb :
When we talk about the plugin look and interface its really attractive and eye catching.There is not only interface/look of the plugin there are three look/interface of plugin.When you choose any color (which is basically an era )the look/interface of theplugin changes which is really cool , interesting and attracting for me.
And now lets talk about some knob and their funtion roughly.- When you look at the plugin's left side you will get mix and predelay knob. Mix knob is given to mix your dry and wet in specific proportion which fits your genre/song. And predelay knob gives you option to set predelay in milliseconds.
- After that you will find a big decay knob. Its function is to make your sound/vocals lushy .It is specific to mid frequencies.
- There is section given in the plugined named damping. It is given to control the high/bass and the transation frequecies decay time by high frequency , high shelf ,bass frequency and Bassmult.
- After that you will get a section names shape which actually means to give shape to the reverb room by two knobs named size and attack.Here you can set the attack time to control the initial attack of the reverb.
- After that you can see a diffusion section where you can control the initial echo density and rate.
- Afte that you will find a modulation section to shape your reverb sound. Under modulation section you will find depth and rate to control the amount and rate of reverb modulation.
- And at the right side of this plugin you will find EQ section you will get high and low cut which actually filters your high and low frequecies of your reverb output.
- At the bottom of this plugin you will find a mode option where you can actually select the mode of the delay.These modes are actually different types of reverb with their own texture and presets.You can do a little bit of twwekin with the parameters to get awsome result out of this plugin.The list of modes are : Concert hall , Bright hall , plate , room ,chamber, Random space , Chorus space , Ambience ,Sanctuary ,Dirt hall, Dirty Plate , Smmoth palte , Smooth room,Smooth Random ,Nonlin ,Chaotic hall ,Chaotic Chamber ,Chaotic neutral.
- After that at the bottom of it you will find the color to set which actually given in the era form(1970 / 1980 /now). !970 make your sound dark and noisy. 1980 also make your sound dark and noisy but s is different from that 1970. 'Now' modulation make your sound clean colorless and funky.
- After these all thing if you dont want to work hard on every knob select the preset option and choose one for your sound.Do small tweeking and sound amazing.
My openion about this plugin :
In my openion if you will use this plugin it will save your too much time as there is no requirement of extra plugin to sound your reverb sound unique .In other words you will save your too much of time to sound design your reverb sound and you will save your CPU usage too. .
